It seems to be a problem of the driver - KWinTV > doesn't give me a full screen neither... scaled overlay is a feature of the XF4 driver using Xv, either by using XvPutImage (should work with most drivers) or a module you load in the XF86Config file called 'v4l' which uses a XvPutVideo call and needs something called 'offscreen surfaces'. -- Michael.
