If your sensor had only 100k Pixels and you have 24Bit Colors it would be 300KB data per frame times 25 times 4 is 30 MB per second
considering you have one or two PCI Busses in your system the theoretical limit is 132MB per uninterfeared bus (don't think two
busses could really double the gain cause of the CPU and memory bus contention)
Purely theoretically this says that with a 300k sensor you'd still only be at 90MB per sec (without overhead)

Someday you may be able to afford the advantage of compressing MPEG on a grabber and decompressing on the output device ...

This is my theoretical opinion - wonder if anybody has any reality based experiences with this ?
