In my experience, X4 does claim to support Xv with tdfx, but it's
broken. It works in the latest cvs versions though.

I've got some pre-compiled tdfx_drv.o modules for X up that work for me,
http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/~psystrj/tdfx fixes Xv on my V3-3000
http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/~psystrj/tdfx2 lets me use Xv and DRI
together.
