USB may be your easiest/cheapest route, although I don't know what kind
of bandwidth 4 cameras will take up.  Also, the distance from computer
to camera will be limited by the USB spec... the cables aren't suposed
to be much longer than about 10 feet, I think.

If you want to use composite video signals (should be able to have
longer cable runs) I'm not sure what your best route would be - I have a
couple of sample cards that I got from brooktree for testing that are
nothing but a bt878 chip and a composite video in - I wish they'd sell
them.   Maybe somebody does.

I'm not aware of any cards with multiple inputs, but I'm sure someone on
this list might know of something...
