I don't know anything about WebTV, but for me using an old Hauppauge
card, a Matrox G450 video card and Xfree86 4.0.2, it's at least much
better than the crappy app that came with the TV card. Instant full
screen by hardware scaling (I work on 1600x1200). And even though the UI
of xawtv is a bit spartan, I'm quite fond of it, using the mouse wheel
to zap back and forth through the channels and having the most used ones
readily available on the number keys.
