}I've been fighting an ov511 USB camera, trying to get better performance.
}640 x 480 and 320 x 240 RGB24 work ok (though slowly) so I tried to
switch
}to 176x144 - This didn't work at all (all black image).
}160 x 120 almost work, but I get a weird red band at the bottom and
}noticeably bad quality.
}Anyone one else out there with better luck?
}Also, is there a USB camera out there which is faster and Linux
compatible?

http://www.imaging-resource.com/NEW1.HTM has a bunch of cameras...

http://gphoto.org/ Is about the most advanced photo software I've seen for
linux. It handles almost everything.
