Hello, I have just installed Storm Linux, Debian Potato based, and kernel 2.4.0. When I run xawtv I cannot get the Launcher window to display. I have tried xawtv versions 3.21, 3.28 and 3.30. The Launcher window worked under SuSE Linux 6.3 with kernel 2.4.0-test5. I have xaw3d installed. There are no error messages when I try and display the Launcher window. Does anyone know what might be wrong. Regards, Roy Config info: X server: Accelerated X (using grab mode in xawtv as server doesn't support DGA). ./configure output for xawtv 3.30: creating cache ./config.cache checking for gcc... gcc checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... yes checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) is a cross-compiler... no checking whether we are using GNU C... yes checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes checking how to run the C preprocessor... gcc -E checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking for gccmakedep... gccmakedep checking for open64... yes checking for ftello... yes checking for getpt... yes checking for getnameinfo... yes checking for getopt_long... yes checking for endian.h... yes checking for soundcard.h... no checking for sys/soundcard.h... yes checking for getopt.h... yes checking for pthread_create in -lpthread... yes checking for main in -lossaudio... no checking for initscr in -lncurses... yes checking for X... libraries /usr/X11R6/lib, headers /usr/X11R6/include checking for dnet_ntoa in -ldnet... no checking for dnet_ntoa in -ldnet_stub... no checking for gethostbyname... yes checking for connect... yes checking for remove... yes checking for shmat... yes checking for IceConnectionNumber in -lICE... yes checking for Xaw3dComputeTopShadowRGB in -lXaw3d... yes checking for jpeg_start_compress in -ljpeg... yes checking for lirc_init in -llirc_client... no checking for png_read_info in -lpng... yes checking for quicktime_open in -lquicktime... no checking for XF86DGAQueryExtension in -lXxf86dga... yes checking for XF86VidModeQueryExtension in -lXxf86vm... yes checking for DPMSQueryExtension in -lXdpms... yes checking for XvQueryExtension in -lXv... no checking for XShmAttach in -lXext... yes checking for X11 config directory... /etc/X11 checking for X11 app-defaults directory... /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults updating cache ./config.cache creating ./config.status creating Makefile creating src/Makefile creating tools/Makefile creating radio/Makefile creating man/Makefile creating i2c/Makefile creating font/Makefile creating webcam/Makefile creating http/Makefile creating libvbi/Makefile creating xawtv.spec creating config.h Messages sent to console on xawtv startup: This is xawtv-3.30, running on Linux/i586 (2.4.0) visual: id=0x20 class=4 (TrueColor), depth=24 visual: id=0x21 class=5 (DirectColor), depth=24 visual: id=0x22 class=4 (TrueColor), depth=24 visual: id=0x23 class=4 (TrueColor), depth=24 visual: id=0x24 class=4 (TrueColor), depth=24 x11: 1600x1200, 32 bit/pixel, 0 byte/scanline WARNING: Your X-Server has no DGA support.
