bttv (v4l1), 2.2.18, mp1e 1.7.1

Hi everyone,

I'm having a little trouble getting mp1e to work with my old 848-based
Hauppauge. Having added extra debugging messages, it is seeming to
get stuck after the first frame, waiting for sync on the second.

CMCAPTUREs for the first and second frame work.
very first CSYNC for frame 0 succeeds. (The 0+ below shows CSYNC
called, and the + is printed when it returns)
mp1e throws up a 0:00.00 (0.0 MB) message.
cap_frame_done is called for frame 0, calling CMCAPTURE for frame 0
cap_wait_frame is called for frame 1
The CSYNC for frame 1 never returns (no +).

Having fudged io.c to make the audio-caps assert an 'if(), mp1e does
work nicely with my other v4l device - a webcam (usb).

Questions:

Does anyone have a similar setup working with bttv / v4l1 / mp1e ?
Is there a more appropriate place to ask on mp1e issues - the bttv
card works fine with xawtv, so I don't think there's an issue there.
(It's just a little odd mp1e works with my cam, and not with the bt848
board)

Trying with thev4l2 driver is next on my list of things to try.

The base system's RH7, uptodate on updates.

Thanks for any information,

Mark
