Hello, I bought a PixelView PlayTV pro a couple of days ago and I've been trying to get it to work in Linux since then. I haven't seen any similar problems reported in the list archives, so I assume it's something I'm doing incorrectly. I haven't managed to get a picture out of xawtv or wmtv yet. I'm using Debian unstable, kernel 2.4.0-test12 patched with bttv-0.7.51-2.4.0-test12.diff, XFree86 4.0.2-1 and xawtv 3.26. I have these lines in /etc/modules.conf: alias char-major-81 videodev alias char-major-81-0 bttv options bttv card=37 pll=1 radio=0 options tuner type=5 options tvaudio tea6300=1 When I modprobe bttv it seems to work fine, I get these messages in /var/log/syslog: bttv: driver version 0.7.51 loaded bttv: using 2 buffers with 2080k (4160k total) for capture bttv: Bt8xx card found (0). PCI: Found IRQ 11 for device 00:09.0 PCI: The same IRQ used for device 00:07.2 PCI: The same IRQ used for device 00:09.1 PCI: The same IRQ used for device 00:11.0 bttv0: Bt878 (rev 17) at 00:09.0, irq: 11, latency: 64, memory: 0xe4000000 bttv0: model: BT878(PixelView PlayTV pro) [insmod option] i2c-core.o: adapter bt848 #0 registered as adapter 1. bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA9875 @ 0xb0... not found bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA7432 @ 0x8a... not found i2c-core.o: driver i2c TV tuner driver registered. tuner: chip found @ 0x61 bttv0: i2c attach [Philips PAL] i2c-core.o: client [Philips PAL] registered to adapter [bt848 #0](pos. 0). However, when I try to run xawtv nothing happens. The window opens and stays black, and clicking in the window has no effect. In /var/log/syslog I get these nasty messages: bttv0: PLL: 28636363 => 35468950 ... ok bttv0: irq: SCERR risc_count=06697008 Can anyone suggest what I'm doing wrong?
