Well, this is card is a bit different. The on board MPEG-1/MPEG-2 hardware encoder requires upload of firmware, etc. And yes, it is detected by the bttv-driver (type 0) but the system hangs hard when it is used (when I try to start xawtv). Btw, I'm running Mandrake 7.2, kernel 2.4.0-test12. /Håkan In message <001b01c06ade$d298ff20$0702a8c0@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, "Jay Langford" w rites: > I have a Tv Card thats based on the BTTV Driver, what distro are you using? > > To get mine working under RedHat i do the following as Su - root > > insmod videodev > insmod i2c-core > insmod bttv type=0 <<< This Auto Detects the Card > insmod tuner type=0 <<< This AutoDetects the Tuner > > I am running XawTV, cause I found it to be the only one to work properly > with my card... http://www.strusel007.de/linux/xawtv/index.html --------------------------------------- e-mail: Hakan.Lennestal@xxxxxxxxxxxxx | or Hakan.Lennestal@xxxxxxxxxxx | ---------------------------------------
