[V4L] bt848are.exe usage

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi.

I have miroPCTVpro Linux 2.4.0-test12 bttv0.7.50. I have downloaded the tool
bt848are.exe and tried to get something.
Im no programming people. Here is how I thought it could be:
The only interesting part in the window of bt848are.exe are the two fields
"OUT_EN" and "DATA" in the rectangel called "GPIO". I took the highest value
from OUT_EN and put it in gpiomask-insmod-option (it was 0003034f, so I put
in modules.conf: gpiomask=0x0003034f).
Then I watched the fild "DATA" and startet the different win-apps for tv, radio
and played with sound-options. For different apps, "DATA" showed:
		normal muted/quit
tv: e607d1 e607d8
radio: e50711 e50718
cd/aux: e407d0 --

I dont know much about hex numbers. I took the hole value for tv, radio and
external and put it in the audiomux option. For internal and mute I dont know
what to put, so I tried for internal 0x1, for mute 0x000008. So my insmod
options for bttv looks:

options bttv card=11 tuner=0 radio=1 bttv_gpio=1 gpiomask=0x0003034f audiomux=0xe607d1,0xe50711,0xe407d0,0x1,0x000008

Basically nothing changed. TVsound works with stereo and mono, but still no
sound from radio. If I start a mixerapp (with tvmixer as device) and gradio,
and start clicking on the tune-buttons of gradio, the faders of the mixer
(there are 4, vol, bal, bass and treble) jump around in funny ways.

Is the way I went the right direction at all (I think it must, or else I
wouldnt hear anything anymore) and where am I wrong.
Please excuse that I cant give more precise info, but Im not programming
(I wish I would).
