Pinnacle PCTV and video4linux

Hi!

I'm trying to get a Pinnacle PCTV card working under Gentoo Linux, but I'm having a lot of problems with it... I bought it about 2 weeks ago, and it's a red board. I've looked around, and from what I've seen, the tuner on this card is supposed to be an MT2050, which isn't supported by v4l or the bttv drivers. I was previously using the gentoo 2.4 sources, but I've now installed the gentoo 2.6.0-test11 sources and applied the kraxel patch from the v4l website.

I've rebooted into the 2.6 kernel, edited /etc/modules.d/v4l to set the tuner to 0, and I've run modules-update after that. I ran rmmod on the tuner and bttv modules, and then did modprobe bttv. It recognised the card as card=39 (Pinnacle PCTV Studio/Rave) and the tuner as type=33 (MT20xx universal). I also ran 'scantv -c /dev/v4l/video0', but it found no stations. However, looking in /var/log/messages, I saw a whole lot of entries saying:

DATE/TIME gentoo tuner: Huh? tv_set is NULL?

repeated over and over.

Does anyone know what this means? How can I get the card/tuner working properly?

Thanks a lot!
