That's the best source of information I found (so far) about digital video and
aspect ratio. I have to warn you that it is quite complicated. I had to read
it a few times before understanding it all :-)
That's exactly what I meant by 'no satisfactory documentation'.
Everything was either very terse, or way above my head. So I settled for
the simplest way.
