We have used the WinTV-GO (had to stop when it became a lottery between
the 878 and 88x based boards).

Also used the Pinnacle-PCTV Rave (had to stop when they changed the 
tuner from MT2038 to MT2050)

Also used the Hercules SmartTV.

Also used the Terratec TerraTValue PCITV.

All these cards are inexpensive (I did not do the actual buying but 
certainly below 100 EUR) and with a bit of luck should be available 
off-the-shelf. We could not make btaudio work with any of them so you 
have to add a cheap sound board.

But for simple, one-channel, frame acquisition, your WinTV-GO should do 
very well.
