I didn't patch the kernel. I dowloaded one of the video4linux snapshots from http://bytesex.org and compiled them separately as modules. My patch was made against the 20031204 snapshot.
Reading this again... should that mean, I can simply replace my tuner.c from the kernel source by the tuner.c file from the video4linux snapshot, so I have support for my mt2050?
