That was with a cheap tevion md9717. I replaced it with my FV3K (elta
8682) now. Difference is that this card has no internal audio out
connector and line in for my onboard ac97 (via 686b) is somewhat broken,
therefore it is connected to my second audio device a fm801.
On a clear channel the FV3K reaches the ordered 25fps after about 400
frames like the md9717 and I can't see anything remarkable.

The disturbed first channel looks pretty much the same. Startup
behaviour here seems to differ somewhat and on the long run the most
obvious variance can be seen in the video bitrate. On the clear signal
both are very close to the ordered 1800 kbit, under noise the md9717
goes up to 2200, but the FV3K even up to 2640. The recorded content is
very similar.

So that is quite a difference and may prove your point, nevertheless
after 50 minutes of overload a/v is still synced here too.
