  Yeah, this is all pretty disappointing.  That user claims that it
worked with card=0.  The Koutech 606 seemed to be working for some users
with card=15, maybe you could try that, but I doubt it will help.  One
of the reasons you need the right card line in bttv is so that bttv
knows which inputs are what, and whether they are S-Video or not, etc.
May explain some of the weird behavior you are seeing.

  You should take a look in bttv-cards.c and see what kind of
information there is for each card entry.  Doing your own based on one
of those may give best results.  Be sure to post here any success
stories.
