Actually the point you refer to only concerns the polarity of the button codes, not the fact that there are two events per one button press. I did as suggested with the net result that lirc now reacts to button release instead of depression. It does not affect the problem I refer to at all. Perhaps you can elaborate as to what the expected effect is?
