Hi Ole Andre,

Something about how to use it is still in this thread:

Well thanks for the pointer, but the basic problem remains that loading the saa7134 module does not create any /dev/input/eventX device, and the amount of ducumentation describing this functionality is exactly zero - so where do I start debugging it ? I do not even know if the device is created through the loading of a separate module or if there's a config parameter I did not set, or if there's a missing option to the kernel config, or if there's a problem with the support for my specific card.. you catch my drift? It's not that I'm complaining (I'm getting this for free, how can I complain ;)) so much as a request for some keywords that describe the dependencies of the new ir-remote handling.

Perhaps those who got it working can give a short description of which steps were taken to get there?

Regards,

Ole Andre
