Hadi, Thanks for your help. I had finger trouble; my problem was operator error because I didn't know how to use coriander. Hiromasa Yoshimoto has created a new camera control library, libcam1394 for use with a modified ieee1394 library (ieee1394-20030625.tar.gz) at his web site. My concern is that my machine needs ieee1394 for other functions (the docking station) and so I am reluctant to change to the new version the stability of my system.
