  Right in the error message it says:

  If you are using an older NVIDIA card (TNT2), then this capability is
only available with their binary drivers.

  Are you using the NVIDIA binary XFree86 drivers?  Their kernel driver
is not listed in your lsmod output.  More information is available here:
