Re: ATI All in Wonder VE

I'd suggest you start by looking at the large chips on the card.  You are looking for a chip with "CONEXANT" printed on it.

ATI made a wide variety of cards.  The TV-Wonder and TV-Wonder VE are based on the bt848 and bt878 chips.  I just got a TV-wonder card working with the bttv 0.7 drivers and RH v9.  Later ATI cards  (rage video series and some radeon)
use a different chip (also a bt)  The GATOS project (gatos.sourceforge.com) has drivers for these but I have not had any luck as the documentation is either missing or assumes you are a kernel hacker.  It also seems that the folks working on this project have not seen the RedHat dist.  There are people who have a variety of ATI cards working.

Anybody know if it is possible to make this card work with Redhat 9?

I cant seem to find drivers or info on it anywhere.

I do see a few similar requests to mine.

Does anybody know which chipset it uses for the TV tuner?

Thanks
