Re: Video Capture/Firewire cards

Hello,

I keep getting following error when trying to capture video with dvgrab:

raw1394 - couldn't get handle: No such device
This error usually means that the ieee1394 driver is not loaded or that
/dev/raw1394 does not exist.

When I run lsmod ohci1394 is listed, but as unused
and ieee1394 is listed as using ohci1394.
This means to me the drivers for the ohci1394 device aren't loaded,
correct?

I'm not sure how to fix this.
I have tried to modprobe ohci1394, but no effect.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Thank you,
   Julian
