I'm testing capturing on my saa7134 (FV3k, PAL). Using streamer, it records in 320x240 by default, and is fine. But I've tried guessing some higher frame sizes and it becomes jerky.

If there is such a thing as full-frame size for a
PAL saa7134, does anyone know what it is?

720x568 is the highest capture size, but you should
play it back (under Mplayer or other tools) as 768x576
or 4:3. This is because PAL doesn't have square
pixels..
Thanks, that makes sense. I'll have a play around and see what I can get out of it reliably.

Ive tried to capture using nvrec and ffmpegrec at a
number of resolutions and I find if I get above
352x576 (1/2 D1 or CVD resolution) I start to get
frame drops.
