Re: how to get best capture size

I'm testing capturing on my saa7134 (FV3k, PAL). Using streamer, it records in 320x240 by default, and is fine. But I've tried guessing some higher frame sizes and it becomes jerky.

If there is such a thing as full-frame size for a PAL saa7134, does anyone know what it is?

Regards,
Rob

Looks like you have to use 704x576 when the signal is 4/3 and 924x576
when 16/9. But I have no idea how one detects in V4L that the channel
starts (or stops) transmitting in 16/9.
