While I'm not entirely doing what you are wanting, I can tell you this. I have a Hauppage WinNT with at BT878. When doing BGR24 captures off the s-video then displaying the picture either on my plasma display via DVI, the picture quality looks just as good to me as my plasma's s-video input (except the fields are interlaced). This being the case, modern video cards do very good quality s-video, so I think a display on an analog or interlaced display would be just fine.

Somebody really needs to port D-Scaler to Linux... :)

Who here uses one of these?
Which one do you use?
What size TV do you have?
What picture quality do you get?

I'm trying to make the next jump to a PVR system and
want to know if the picture quality on my big screen
will be good enough to do it.

Thanks,

KT
