Hi all,
I recently picked up a Creative Webcam Vista and I am trying to get it to work
on my Linux box. Thing is I can't seem to find any indication (on creatives
site or elsewhere) that this thing even exists. Therefore I am having a heck
of a time finding which driver I should use. I started with the ov511 driver
but this results in the following lines in my /var/log/messages
Dec 27 15:27:45 wizzard kernel: usb.c: USB device 3 (vend/prod 0x41e/0x4018)
is not claimed by any active driver.
...
Dec 27 16:36:54 wizzard kernel: Linux video capture interface: v1.00
Dec 27 16:36:54 wizzard kernel: i2c-core.o: i2c core module version 2.6.4
(20020719)
Dec 27 16:36:54 wizzard kernel: usb.c: registered new driver ov511
Dec 27 16:36:54 wizzard kernel: mod_ov511.c: v2.09 : ov511 USB Camera Driver
...
I was wondering if anyone could tell me from the vendor and product numbers
which driver I should be trying or indeed if one even exists.
Vend: 0x41e
Prod: 0x4018
Thanks for your help,
Darin Willits
