rpm -e xine

The package name is xine, not xine-<version-number>.

Hi,

Just a simple newbie question regarding the xine package:
I run xine 0.9.8-4, and want to upgrade to 0.9.13 (on a RH7.3 machine)
when trying to install directly I get some conflict errors.
Thus I tried to remove the old one first.
The following happened:

[root@oertrol downloads]# rpm -e xine-0.9.8-4.i386.rpm
error: package xine-0.9.8-4.i386.rpm is not installed
[root@oertrol downloads]# rpm -iv xine-0.9.8-4.i386.rpm
Preparing packages for installation...
package xine-0.9.8-4 is already installed

Does anyone know what happened and how this can be fixed?
Thanks,

Pepijn.
