I should be an int yes, sorry about that.

Maybe you can try tweaking the value that you write into the registers. I 
noticed similar behaviour when I changed the value to something else, 
that's why I chose a value of 1. Maybe the Cinergy 600 needs different 
initialisation than the 400?

I'm curious what the experiences of other Cinergy 400 owners are.
