Help with Philips WebCam and GnomeMeeting

Can anyone help with getting the audio recording working with a Philips USB
Webcam and RedHat 8.0
I have got the video functioning though I have to, from root, do a modprobe
pwc to get the video functional. I do a modprobe audio to load the audio
modules and all appears fine in the message log with the device registered.
However when i run up gnomemetting I get the following in the message log
Can't locate module sound-service-1-0
I look at the hardware Browser and there are 10 entries for
Philips PCA646VC WebCam
under the Sound cards all using the audio sound driver.
I looked at the modiules.conf file and there was no alias entry for
sound-service-1-0 though I do not know if it is needed. I did try to alias
sound-service-1-0 to audio with no success.
I already have a Soundbaster live 5.1 and the output is fine though when I
have tried to record using /dev/dsp with mic connected to the soundblaster
the audio is very low volume.
Any pointers hints appreciated, I really do not want to keep having to switch
to windows just to use netmeeting and I ideally want to just use the webcam
with integral mic in LINUX.

TIA

Steve
