  Noooo...  The current frequency table code in tvtime is horrible. :)
I'll fix it up this weekend and then we can have a proper comparison. :)

  I wasn't very clear here.  I meant that I like DScaler better since
Gerd's is based on building a table from lots of very verbose config
files.

  Well, I just mean that it's hard to compare frequency numbers in
tables in Gerd's format, and also it's hard to write a new file by hand.

  It's not a problem, but really there is only one NTSC cable frequency
list, and then there are three different types of cable: HRC, IRC and
normal.  HRC and IRC are both simple offsets of the normal frequencies,
with exceptions for channels 5 and 6.  So, in tvtime for example, we
have one NTSC cable tuner map, and then you can turn on IRC or HRC mode
which performs the mapping.

  This is a good point.  With Gerd's format he uses #includes and stuff,
so afaict this makes it a bit difficult to have tables with metadata on
the table itself.
