Yes, I see what you mean. On the other hand, I suppose that would
result in an image where the colour-channels are slightly lowpass
filtered. Due to the size of the filters an edge (between red and
green, for example) won't be able to move more than approximately
half a pixel row. In my case it's much worse.

My guess is that different colour-channels are sent in different
frequency ranges of the composite signal (I'm not sure it works
like that though) and that the poor cables and contacts makes the
signal filtered. Different frequencies means different filtering
and different delays. But that's just a guess.
