ItWorksForMe, i.e. I can't reproduce the issue locally on my system.  I
suspect it works for some other people too, they likely just don't hang
around here because they don't have problems ...
The fact that it sometimes work and sometimes not and nobody knows what
triggeres it makes debugging not exactly easier.

The new 0.1.11 release has a insmod option to specify the sound carrier
location manually (defaulting to 5500 == 5.5 MHz which is fine for
PAL-BG).  That one is used in case the autodetect didn't work.
