Re: saa7134 - Terratec Cinergy 400 TV No Sound

I'll prove you wrong - I have sound working constantly on my FV3K (no FM).... BUT, I get the video blanks out after a couple of hours, days, whatever running and requires a cold boot to fix it up.

I'm not sure about what the cause is - seems like image and sound are almost mutually exclusive.

Rob

Hi Everybody,

I have a terratec cinergy 400 tv capture card, and I'm using it with the saa7134 driver from bytesex.org. When I start xawtv I'm having a clear tv image, but no sound. To make sure my line in is ok, I setted up my discman to my line in, and that worked. The card is connected via the line out -> line in method. I'm using Debian Sid 2.4.19, xawtv 3.72 and version 1.10 of the saa7134 driver. Also have I patched my kernel correctly using the patch on bytesex.org.
Here's what I get when doing an lspci:
00:0c.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors: Unknown device 7134
(rev 01)

Anybody got an idea?

Wait a few days.. :) bad joke, but that's what everyone experiences, it'll
work for a few days, stop receiving sound after, and so one.. I can't
remember anyone posting to this list reporting to get sound constantly from
any saa7134-based card. (Please prove me if I'm wrong - I hope I am..)
