Hi everybody,

I am using dexxa webcam under debian-3.0. I had the
2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel and it worked fine with the driver
qce-ga. Now, i have installed another kernel
(2.4.18-686) and it no longer works although other
webcams work with this new kernel. When i try to load
the module i get messages like:

mod_quickcam.o: unresolved symbol XXXXX

Shall i compile the modules? In this case how shall i
proceed?

How did you install the new kernel?
It should have it's own modules.

cd /usr/src/linux
make modules modules_install

I've never compiled modules seperately from the kernel, that may work.
Back up your existing modules first (maybe /lib/modules/2.4.19/kernel/).
