Unresolved symbols loading saa7134 on RH7.3

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Ok I'm trying to get my FlyVideo3000 working under Redhat 7.3...

My kernel version is 2.4.18-3
my modutils version is 2.4.14-3
gcc version 2.96-112

I've applied the patch for the 2.4.18 kernel at bytesex.org and complied
the saa7134 modules (version 0.1.10). They compile ok (or at least seem
to)

However when I try to load them I get unresolved symbols - only for the
saa7134.o - the other modules load ok.

This is the result when I try to load it with modprobe -

------------

[root@foo saa7134-0.1.10]# modprobe saa7134
/lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/v4l2/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol
v4l_compat_translate_ioctl
/lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/v4l2/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol
video_usercopy
/lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/v4l2/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol
v4l2_fill_ctrl_category
/lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/v4l2/saa7134.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/v4l2/saa7134.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/v4l2/saa7134.o: insmod saa7134 failed
[root@foo saa7134-0.1.10]#

------------

There was a previous post that mentions disabling kernel module version
information as helping. How is this done?

Or is there something simpler I have missed?

Thanks for any help.
