dual videum on a SMP-encoder

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

We are trying to get an SMP encoder - dual P-III - with two Winnov Videum
AV PCI cards to work. For this, we are using Bills drivers together with
the videodevX module.

First, we used an 2.4.10-kernel but the computer just kept crashing. Now,
we switched to 2.4.19. But the problem is still existing. Whenever we
start one realproducer, everything seems to work fine. But when we start 2
of them - therefore using both cards at the same time - the computer hangs
after a very short time. (complete crash, CAPS-LOCK and SCROLL-LOCK (?)
are on - no messages on the screen)

It would be great if anyone could me solving this problem. :)

Thanks a lot,
	Marcel

PS: Shall I send dmesg, .config, lsmod, lspci etc. over the list? I didn't
do it now since they would make up 13kB.
