Your tuner entry does not correspond to the datasheet !

Both FI1236MK2 and FM1236 datasheets are very clear:
Low Band:  55.26 - 157.25 MHz
Mid Band: 163.25 - 451.25 MHz
Hi  Band: 457.25 - 801.25 Mhz

Now bttv only need the takeover points, and these are the only
differences between these tuners:
tuner=2:  157.25 | 451.25
tuner=17: 160    | 454
ohta:     140.25 | 450

So you should see a difference only for channels where you
select a different band. On which channels do you see a difference?
Do you have a clear picture in windows?
