Dear all

thanks for this good acknowledgement base.
Many of the entries belonging to the 7134 chipset helps me to
learn what I have to do to get a 7134 Chipset card (Tevion MD9717)
to work with my on board devices of the Elitegroup K7S5A mainboard.

First step was to do download the actual 2.4.19 kernel the prepatch
2 and the extension to v4l2.

After that I have changed following things to get sound.
The sound driver is in my configuration implemented into the kernel.
additional oss is installed ad module.
I have tried many configuration to get xine, mplayer, kwintv, xawtv with
sound. The above one was the result.
The sound device is an Elitegroup SiS7012 PCU Audio Accelarator.
As a module I got no sound. I believe there is a hardware conflict.

At the moment I have no problems with sound video or scsi but two
thinks with the new kernel patches I don't know at the moment if
it is my fault or a failure.

After kernel upgrade I lost Power off after "halt" this is not a very bad
problem. I think I have to learn something more how to fix this. But the
other is a bit more complicated I don't know why I can't configure
my nvidea card for 3D which works perfectly before.

The new xawtv 3.76 is great. In Linux User Magazine of august was an
article about creating of video discs with xawtv and mjpeg tools.
Did someone have some tools to use transcode as well?

regards

Reimar Bauer
