FlyVideo 98/FM

I have a TV tuner card that I've been trying to use with xawtv. I don't
really know any thing about the card except that it's a FlyVideo 98/FM
and it's for Australia so it has a PAL tuner that has Phillips printed
on it. I do know that it's a Conexant Fusion 878A chipset though.

It seems that no matter what parameters I try to get the bttv module I
can't get it to work. When I do load the module it comes up with:
bttv0: detected: Flyvideo 98FM (LR50)/ Typhoon TView TV/FM Tuner
[card=36], PCI

When I run xawtv I get:
This is xawtv-3.72, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.18-xfs-1.1)
v4l: timeout (got SIGALRM), hardware/driver problems?
ioctl: VIDIOCSYNC(0): Interrupted system call
ioctl: VIDIOCMCAPTURE(0,fmt=4,size=48x32): Device or resource busy
ioctl: VIDIOCMCAPTURE(0,fmt=1,size=48x32): Device or resource busy
ioctl: VIDIOCMCAPTURE(0,fmt=7,size=48x32): Device or resource busy
ioctl: VIDIOCMCAPTURE(0,fmt=13,size=48x32): Device or resource busy
ioctl: VIDIOCMCAPTURE(0,fmt=15,size=48x32): Device or resource busy

Has anyone got any idea how I can get this to work?

Thanks,
