What you're seeing is the result of viewing an interlaced stream of
fields as a sequence of full frames.  To display an interlaced stream on
a progressive display, you must first deinterlace it.

There are lots of methods of deinterlacing with highly varying levels
of quality, be careful to select the method that is best for your
quality demands.

hi :

actually, i faced that problem before.  i added a deinterlace routine, which is the simplest one i know,
odd line number pixels are resulted from the even line number pixels from above and below.  well, any
other suggestion for the deinterlace algorithm ?  also, after the deinterlace, stutter effect results.  i
guess that's due to the spatial effect after the deinterlace.  any idea ?

cheers,
kai
