The chunk adding EXPORT_SYMBOL(do_select) fails

i am also trying to build 2.4.19-rc3 with v4l2-01-add-api-2.4.19-pre8.diff.gz

Can someone give me a clue? Do i need to apply another patch?
Should i try 2.5.x? Should i wait a few weeks for v4l2 to stabilize?

No, this note was more a reminder
for Gerd to fix this.

You can just edit kernel/ksyms.c
by hand and insert the EXPORT_SYMBOL(do_select)
somewhere in with all the other EXPORT_SYMBOL
statements.

I have it as:

EXPORT_SYMBOL(dcache_readdir);
EXPORT_SYMBOL(do_select);
EXPORT_SYMBOL(dcache_dir_ops);

in mine.
