Avermedia TV98 on redhat 7.3, all works, but no go!!!

Hi,

I have a Redhat 7.3, kernel 2.4.18-4, with xawtv 3.75.

Redhat, as always, faithfully detected my card and added the needed
modules (bttv.o, tuner.o, etc.).

When I start up xawtv, all works, I get that nice blue screen at
composite, and at television I get that typical blur.

v4l-conf shows no trouble:

	[davy@localhost davy]$ v4l-conf
using X11 display :0.0 (dga available)
	video mode: 1024x768, 16 bit/pixel, 2048 byte/scanline
	framebuffer at 0xd8000000
	ok

Nevertheless, on not one frequence I can find something more than blur.
Not one boring newsreader to be found.

As I really got desperate, I even installed a windows2000 on this
configuration, to check if the card itself is still functioning
properly, and it does! Even on the frequences, which give me nice clean
images under w2k, I only get blur...

As multimedia isn't really my thing, I turn myself towards the list,
wandering if anyone could gimme a clue, or suggest me possibilities to
sort this out...

Thx a mill!
