Do you mean passthrough? I think on insmod the driver mutes sound output
as part of the initialization, also on cleanup during rmmod.
(I'm the culprit for this, I think).

Line In switching for muting is needed to support FlyVideo 2000 (SAA7130)
which doesn't have any means of providing muting support otherwise.
SAA7134 has hardware 'muting' support, it should be used to control
muting. If you don't define the 'mute' input, the SAA7134 muting
should be used (unless there's a bug in that section of the code).
