Radio 'mute' borked

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I just got an STB TV card with FM tuner. My problem is with the radio. When I
hit 'mute' or exit any radio application, the volume goes way up. It happens
with radio, gnomeradio, etc, etc.. Is there any module paramater, or any way to
fix this. Mute should be completly silent.

Exiting any TV app does not shut off the audio. But it doesn't get louder.

Another question, on the board I can see 2 audio chips, both supported by
the tvaudio module. They are TEA6420 and TDA9850T. Which should I use? My
current module paramaters are:

bttv autoload=0 card=40 tuner=2 radio=1
tuner type=2
tvaudio tda9850=1 tda9855=0 tea6420=1

And one more question, I've tried to use tvmixer module, with parameter
devnr=1 but I don't seem to get /dev/mixer1. It cannot be opened by any
mixer application.

crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 14, 0 Dec 8 20:01 /dev/mixer0
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 14, 16 Dec 8 20:01 /dev/mixer1
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 14, 32 Dec 8 20:01 /dev/mixer2
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 14, 48 Dec 8 20:01 /dev/mixer3

Mabey I am misunderstanding the point of tvmixer.o?

Thanks -Erik
