Hi

- does any of you know this card?
I have one of this working on linux as fine as on win98, and the capture speed on linux using xawtv is still better then on win98, over 30fps for sure.

- how difficult it is to make it work under Linux?
it depends on how much you know linux, but

- this ridiculous ten seconds - is that a card limitation?
no

Hi folks
My 1st mail to this list, hoping some of you can tell me something about
this card - PixelView PlayTVPro.
A friend of mine have one - he runs Windows.
I was looking for an (inexpensive!) card to capture my VHSC tapes and make
358x288, 30 fps digital video, so I could put them into a VCD and use any
DVD to play them.
I told my friend to capture something, to see the quality, and - under
Windows - he was only able to capture 10s (ten seconds!) of video...
So I ask for your help:
- does any of you know this card?
- how difficult it is to make it work under Linux?
- this ridiculous ten seconds - is that a card limitation? Hope it is not...

Thanks in advance
Anderson
