I've installed and changed a lot of bttv drivers, even applying patches to the 2.4.12 kernel, but I still have no sound when using xawtv or zapping, which are running over XFree86 4.1.0. Please note that under framebuffer, with fbtv, it works very fine. Couldn't this be related with this version of XFree?
I even can't open a second mixer for the bttv card (which was available when I was running 2.2.4 x XFree 4.0.1).
Below are some interesting messages:
