Re: what's the use of the 'v4l'?

If I have a v4l driver ,how can I use the driver to make a Xv driver(maybe DDX driver )? Are there  documents I can get or 
some samples?

This ain't a dictionary. It is a driver that presents v4l devices as Xv
devices.
