In v4l, there seems to be no way to correlate the VBI data I get from /dev/vbi to the video images I'm capturing. This makes my timecode decoder I just wrote a little less than useful. ;-) What should I do? Does v4l2 solve this? Are there any problems with using v4l2? Also, I found the documentation lacking as to the sampling rate, data format, etc etc etc for the data I was getting (thanks to diz for helping me out).
