Video jumpiness while capturing from multiple inputs

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello all,

I am admittedly new to video capture on the Linux platform, and I am not even
100% sure that this is the correct forum for my question, but here goes.

I am experiencing some problems while capturing video from multiple inputs on
the same device (same format). I am running a brooktree chipset (848) based
card with 4 inputs. driver version bttv-0.7.72 on kernel 2.4.7.
When I capture from a single input, everything is fine. When I am capturing
from 4 inputs, I am experiencing a slight but noticible jumpiness in the
video.
Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? Is it some sort of sync
problem? Any help which could aid me localizing the source of the problem
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
